Board farewell | Verband Deutscher Sprecher:innen

With one crying and one laughing eye, I have decided not to run for the board of the Verbands Deutscher Sprecher:innen again in 2025.

Over the past two years, I have been able to indulge my desire to contribute, give something back and make a difference for all of us.

During this time I have, among other things:

  • gave the VDS a new face and developed a new branding together with the communications agency inbestergesellschaft
  • the entire website content, especially in the internal member area, completely revised, modernized and supplemented with a lot of content
  • drafted the world’s first contractual principles for dealing with speech and AI, which then served as the basis for the AI Guidelines of United Voice Artists, a worldwide association of voice artists’ organizations
  • played a key role in designing the resulting KI salary compass for German-speaking countries
  • reshaping the communication culture within the association
  • I have undergone extensive further training for all members and researched, prepared and made various information accessible to them in an understandable way. To do this, I attended lectures, communicated with lawyers of all kinds, read a lot, researched and tried things out
  • Created a completely new internal structure for communication, information transfer and joint processing within the Board of Directors, thereby increasing the efficiency of the VDS’s work many times over and making all information, documents and decisions traceable and retrievable in the event of future Board changes
  • Designed and produced films about the VDS for Youtube, Instagram and the website, which I will continue to do after my board position
  • and much more…

I am now making room for fresh energy on the Board and welcome Cédric Cavatore and Miriam Kaufmann and make time for myself and my own interests and am delighted that such competent people are joining us who will bring their own qualities to this association.

It was an honor to be trusted to work for this important association. I really enjoyed working with the team of Anna-Sophia Lumpe, David M. Schulze, a title=”https://www.vds-stimmen.de/profil/roland-geiger/” href=”https://www.vds-stimmen.de/profil/roland-geiger/” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”>Roland Geiger and, until 2024, Christoph Walter. We had a lot of fun, complemented each other perfectly and were able to achieve so much that I can let go with a reassured feeling:

The VDS remains in competent hands who treat it with care and who love this association as much as I do.

I am very grateful for that.
